Terms

Welcome to the Terms page, for all the boring Ts & Cs for our special offers. A link to this page will normally be added to any marketing we do, so please take responsibility for reading it before redeeming your offer. Many thanks.

The meal for four voucher allows you to have four main courses for free. Items on the specials menu over £20 will not count. Any sharing dish will count as two items. This cannot be used on Sundays. This cannot be used on bank holidays. Production of the voucher emailed to you – either on paper or electronically – is essential to redeem the offer. Expiry date will be one month from the date of issue. Winner will be chosen at random using a random number generator. It cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount. Subject to availability. The White Horse reserves the rights to amend or cancel this offer should circumstances change. You cannot exchange this voucher for a cash equivalent.

Email Marketing

Upon email subscription

*The White Horse promises never to bombard or spam your inbox with too many messages. Typically we send out one message a month, and never more than three. Each email we send will include a special offer as means of thank you for your continued subscription. If you entered your date of birth, you will also receive a special offer sent out 5 days before your birthday (please note: if you subscribe less than 5 days before your birthday you will not receive this email until the following year). Your information is held only by the White Horse and will never be shared with any third party or even any other pub in the Far Kitchen Management (our parent company) family – although we may occasionally include a link to things at other premises that we think may interest you. If you change your mind you may unsubscribe at any time by clicking an unsubscribe link (which appear in all marketing emails sent out) or by emailing whitehorse.burnhamgreen@mcmullens.co.uk with ‘UNSUBSCRIBE’ in the subject line. Please note that unsubscribing may affect the validity of discount vouchers you have already been sent.

Privacy Notice – Your Data

The White Horse – Part of FAR Kitchen Management – take the protection of your data entrusted to us very seriously. From 25th May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect which means there are some changes in how we hold and use your information coming into effect that make things more secure for you.

There are three main reasons for us to have your data:

1) Booking

We use the information provided by you only when it is necessary to provide a service and only for the service for which it is given. We will use a phone number or email address given to us as part of a booking reservation only in relation to that booking. It will be used to send menus or updates or amendments only in relation to the booking. You will not be added to any mailing list or receive automated emails.

This information will be kept in paper form in our bookings diary and may be in electronic form if you have booked via the website or if email correspondence is necessary. Information sent by online booking forms is stored on a secure part of our website that only a handful of top level staff can access.

Contact details relating to bookings will be held for two full years (eg. The 2018 diary will be destroyed at the end of 2020) we use old dairies to help us plan for years ahead and analyse trends, it is highly unlikely that we will need to reuse specific contact details given to us. Old paper records are held securely at the pub and not taken off site.

Failure to provide at least a contact number or email address could result in us not being able to take the booking.

2) Email subscription

If you click ‘subscribe to mailing list’ at the end of the online booking form, tick any box that says ‘add to mailing list’ or enter your details in our email sign-up form, this information will be used to send out regular (no more than 3 times a month, usually less) emails with news and offers.

We do not share information with any third party and operate separate databases for each of the pubs within our group, so data relating to your booking list or mailing list subscriptions will never be shared outside of the The White Horse, without your expressed permission.

This information is stored on a secure part of our website’s designer program that only a handful of top level staff can access and on our computer where the database is password protected. It is also uploaded to Mailchimp, the system that we use to design our emails. It is very secure and you can find their own privacy information here.

This information will be destroyed once you unsubscribe – links on the emails will immediately unsubscribe you, and we will delete all data in our database within a week of unsubscription.

3) Other Correspondence

In matters regarding other correspondence (such as complaints, general enquiries or working with us) details may be forwarded to McMullen brewery where appropriate and when their assistance or advice may help to respond to the correspondence. All information and personal details held relating to a complaint will be held for 2 years from the date of our final correspondence for record keeping purposes and should we need to revisit an issue. All other correspondence will be held until the conversation is complete.

All data handling relating to our guests is overseen by Dan Vine. If you have any concerns or questions please make an appointment to see him at one of our venues where he will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
